“…my late sister Journey… makes me want to reach out to people to let them know there is HOPE and
have FAITH in their recovery process.”
This short book is the author’s intriguing testimony regarding the medicinal use of soursop leaves, also
known as graviola leaves. The small evergreen tree grows in areas such as Southeast Asia, the coastal
nations of West Africa, and Central America. According to the author’s investigations, a tea made from
soursop leaves is reputed to have healing properties that could potentially help with cancer and its
    chemo side effects.
The book has two main parts. In one section, it helpfully explains in detail how to purchase leaves and
prepare them to get the best tea results. The infusion recipe uses ten to fourteen leaves (fresh or
frozen) washed and placed in a porcelain pot. Water is added and brought to a boil. After being made
following the exact recipe, the tea should be strained to remove any sediment. A cup of the tea should
be drunk thirty minutes before meals. The color pictures included here are quite useful. The rest of the
book includes testimonials shared by people known to the author whose health was helped by taking
soursop leave tea. Cancer markers before and after consumption indicate that therapeutic results
were noted. Even so, caution should be observed as many on the internet advise of dangers in drinking
    the tea, especially long-term.
The author lost a sister in 2020 due to ovarian cancer. Since the 2011 death of his father, for whom he
was caregiver, he has become aware of issues people may experience with Western medicine alone.
Awakened to this plant’s antioxidant, antiviral, and antibacterial qualities, he is becoming an advocate
for natural healing options. His passion for his subject comes through in the writing. Those who know
about the fruit of the soursop tree but are unfamiliar with the medicinal properties available in its
leaves might be especially fascinated by this book.

Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide, accounting for nearly 10 million deaths annually.
According to World Health Organization (WHO), the incidence of cancer rises dramatically with age,
most likely due to a build-up of risks for specific cancers that increase with age. Nature Gifts of the
Soursop Leaves by David Soh Poh Huat, is a book that details the amazing ways of using soursop
leaves, also known as graviola leaves, to reap their health benefits such as their anti-cancer properties.
With a lot of unhealthy and artificial foods getting sold in the streets and markets, the only way to
ensure one’s body is receiving the necessary nutrients is by consuming healthy products. Soursop
leaves are found on the soursop fruit tree which is native to tropical regions of the Americas. Author
David Soh Poh Huat looks at the nutritional value of these leaves and how to incorporate them into
    one’s diet.
The benefits of soursop leaves include improving gastrointestinal health, aiding in diabetes treatment
    – among others. The author details experiences of several patients who used soursop leaves, the time
frame of their use, and the positive effects the consumption of these leaves had on them. The author
advises readers to find out more facts on the internet before deciding to consume a drink made from
the leaves. He is keen to mention some of the side effects of using soursop leaves but encourages
readers that there has been no proven side-effect.
I enjoyed reading this informative guide. The writing is short and precise and easily makes for a fast
read that doesn’t require much flipping of pages which can be time- consuming. Nature Gifts of the
Soursop Leaves has clear visuals to demonstrate how the leaves are prepared and consumed. This is a
resource that one can use as a reference for many years to come. I highly recommend this enlightening
read to medical doctors and to anyone who wants to heal or prevent common ailments.
